The title refers to John Cage’s Imaginary Landscape series, in which conventional instruments appeared alongside turntables, radios, recordings and other technologies, expanding the idea of what could become musical material. In some of these works, chance and elements beyond the composer’s direct control also became part of what was heard.

Matilda Russo’s voice enters not as a usual lead vocal but as another element within the environment. It can feel close for a moment, then disappear again into ambient layers, field recordings and TERRA’s increasingly dark tones.

Created mainly with the SOMA TERRA and field recordings, these pieces place you inside a shifting environment of tactile tones and fragments of everyday life.

Imaginary Landscapes is not an EP built around a destination. It is a space you can return to, where harmony, silence and voice coexist on their own terms.
