Infinite Impermanence

Atone

The latest addition to the SOMA Labs Music roster is a very fine techno EP for your mixing and listening pleasure. With pure four-on-the-floor hardware workouts, Infinite Permanence brings the energy of a live PA set with single takes played live on a sequencer, analog drum machines and synths.

This energetic techno EP is just what you need to cheer you up during the lazy winter time. It’s also a great example of using the SOMA PULSAR-23 in dynamic and straightforward music.

The title Infinite Impermanence speaks for itself - all tracks seem to be endless, but they have that special and rare type of monotony that, instead of quickly becoming boring, introduces us to a meditative flow. This EP works well both on the dancefloor but also as background music for concentrated work, when you need focus and a boost of energy that coffee can’t give you, but driving techno will!

«There is something about Techno music and its atmosphere that draws me in, as if time stops and things move effortlessly. The addictiveness of rhythm and sound, the atmosphere in which everything dissolves into nothing, possibilities are endless and anything goes. Things move on their own, no interference is needed. Everything in its right place. Nothing is accomplished. This is what I'm looking for. I hope this recording reflects how nothing ever remains the same, how each moment is its own. That time is an illusion, nothing ever moves forwards or backwards. There is only a perpetual now, infinite impermanence.»
